Storage Modules

Brentwood’s StormTank™ Stormwater Storage Modules are a high-void, strong, affordable alternative to crushed stone, concrete structures, or pipe chambers for sub-surface stormwater detention or infiltration basins.
High Void, High Strength

Brentwood StormTank™ Modules offer the largest void space of any underground stormwater storage units currently on the market (97%), and are load rated for use under parking lots, athletic fields, parks, etc. (Designed to exceed HS-25 Loading criteria)!

Easy to Install
The StormTank™ System is built on-site from rugged, lightweight polypropylene Top/Bottom Platens and Side Panels (as necessary) and 2-3/8" diameter Recycled PVC Structural Columns. (Side Panels are to be installed along the perimeter of the system only.).

To minimize shipping costs, the StormTank™ components are delivered unassembled, but on-site assembly is a snap! Modules can be assembled in under 2 minutes with no special equipment, tools, or bonding agents, utilizing a secure concentric pressure fit.

Easy to Clean
The StormTank™ design allows for easy flushing and cleaning as there are no partitions separating modules within a system… a great advantage over other storage systems where access is limited. (See StormTank™ Maintenance Guidelines)

AASHTO Load Tested to HS-25
Brentwood StormTank™ Modules have undergone real-life load testing at the Queen’s University GeoEngineering Centre (right). A single-axle load exceeding 83,000 lbs. was successfully applied to the installed StormTank™ system. No comparable stormwater product has ever been tested this extensively.

Saves Space and Money
Because of its 97% void space, stackability, and HS-25 strength, a StormTank™ system offers significant space and cost savings when compared to conventional stormwater storage solutions. For example:

MAXIMIZE LAND USE
Because a StormTank™ system is installed underground, it frees up surface space for uses that would otherwise be unavailable.

Unsightly detention ponds are unusable, land-wasting, restricted spaces that can cause insect and pest control problems and high maintenance costs with no corresponding benefits.

A StormTank™ system can bring athletic fields, pavilions, sheds, and other surface-level structures, playgrounds, blacktop areas for sports and/or parking, and other people-friendly, usable greenspace (below).

SMALLER FOOTPRINT, SMALLER COSTS
A StormTank™ installation requires a much smaller footprint than a crushed rock system with the same amount of stormwater storage capacity. And less space used also means less expense for excavation, geotextile, liner, installation, and backfill.

STACKABILITY + VARIABLE COLUMN HEIGHT = MAXIMUM VERSATILITY
StormTank™’s stackability (uniform layers) and variable column height can maximize the use of a site with limited surface area.

StormTank Connection Accessories
StormTank Observation Ports and Inlet/Outlet Connections are ruggedly constructed and specifically designed for use with StormTank Stormwater Storage Modules.
