Brentwood Industries Acquires Reynolds Medical Thermoformed Packaging Operation

READING, PENNSYLVANIA, DEC. 5th 2008 – Brentwood Industries, the world’s largest manufacturer of plastic media, has acquired the production assets of Reynolds Medical Thermoformed Packaging Operation as of December 5, 2008. Reynolds Packaging Group’s medical thermoformed packaging operation is located at the Downingtown Packaging Plant in Downingtown, PA.

The acquisition was completed at the start of business on December 5, 2008 and supports Brentwood’s strategic effort in the direction of expanding its medical packaging division. In addition to acquiring Reynolds Medical Thermoformed Packaging Operation, Brentwood is purchasing 2 new state-of-the-art thermoforming equipment, expanding its clean room and increasing sales and engineering personnel.

Brentwood Industries is looking forward to supporting the needs and satisfying the expectations of its newly acquired customers. As of the acquisition date, Brentwood Industries assumed all open purchase orders from Reynolds Packaging Group and worked closely with company contacts to ensure a smooth transition for all customers. Brentwood Industries produces plastic packaging that is used by leading medical device manufacturers.

Over the next 5 months, Brentwood Industries will be transitioning some of the existing Downingtown equipment to the Brentwood facility in Reading PA. Brentwood plans to retain a majority of the current Downingtown employees and looks forward to them continuing there efforts at the facility in Reading, PA. Brentwood Industries and all its employees will work closely with all customers to meet all validation protocols.
